The labyrinth next to Landtmann´s Park Café was designed according to a historical model from 1720 and invites you to play and to discover. Directly adjacent there is a large adventure playground, the Labyrintikon.

Since 1780, the Neptune fountain has been the crowning element of the Great Parterre,
the largest open space in the Baroque gardens. It represents the sea-journey of Neptune and is a reminder to the prince to steer his land safely through the waves of fate.

Former summer residence of the Habsburgs with magnificent staterooms.  The palace already obtained its present appearance during Maria Theresa´s reign.  Set aside ample time, because there is much to see - there is also a great programme for children.

At Landtmann´s Park Café you can start your visit to the oldest zoo in the world. If you want to take a break and visit us, you can always leave the zoo and continue your visit afterwards, re-entering with your ticket.

The largest glasshouse on the European continent, one of the three largest in the world, was commissioned by Emperor Franz Joseph I to house the extensive Habsburg plant collections. It was opened in 1882 and houses around 4500 plant species.

The Sundial House was built by Emperor Franz Joseph I in 1904 for plants from Australia, South Africa and South and North America. Since 2004 it is called "Wüstenhaus" and - as a counterpart to the rainforest house in the zoo - now also presents birds, reptiles and small animals from desert areas.

During the imperial period, this was the "police kitchen", where the palace guards were served. Today, at Café Residenz, which is run by the Family of Querfeld, you can enjoy imperial delights from coffee Maria Theresia to Kaiser Franz Joseph's favorite dish – Tafelspitz (boiled beef) - to Kaiserschmarrn (shredded pancake).

At the Court Bakery Schönbrunn at Café Residenz, you will experience the best Viennese apple strudel in the city. The daily bake demonstration takes place hourly from 11am to 4pm and takes about 20 minutes.

There has been a marionette theater in Schönbrunn, as early as the 18th century.  After renovation took place in 1994, it was newly established and since then won several awards at international festivals. It offers theater performances and operas for adults and children.

The Gloriette was erected in 1775 and is reminiscent of the Battle of Kolin on 18 June 1757, with which the intended march of the Prussian King Frederick the Great on Vienna was abandoned during the Seven Years' War.
